I'm currently working in two rooms, control+tracking. Due to various limitations I can't break a hole in the wall between them and build a control room window. I'm therefore looking for an alternative.
FIrst of all, I'd like to say that if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to write them.
I thought of two options:
1.)
I thought of using an internet camera, and splitting the computer monitor signal into two equivalent monitors, one which will be in the control room and the other in the tracking room.
The problem with this is - cabling.
The tracking room is sound proof. I can't let the video cable slide through the window/door. I have to make a hole in the wall. A BIG hole, big enough to accomodate the ugly head of the computer cable.
I thought maybe I could cut off the head and solder it on the other side, having to just pass the (thin) cable through the wall, but computer adapter cables have 9 pins - sounds like the soldering job from hell.
Any suggestions?
2.)
Maybe take a computer-independent approach, and install two small televisions, one in the control room and another in the tracking room, and use some small cameras in both rooms ("televisya be'ma'agal sagur"). TV cables are thin and friendly

. How expensive would that solution be?
any comments or other suggestions?
