Here r some suggestion 2 every1 addressing these forums:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ask as a pro would and U'll b getting pro answers.
Many ppl lurk in these hallways, some know their stuff, others don't. Hey, it's a free country (Switzerland).
Knowing who's who takes time, and oh, yeah - much reading in the "search" section...
PROs:
--------------
4 the sake of argument let's call the more experienced, knowledgeable ppl : "PRO"(s)
If U REALLY want a USEFUL solution 2 ur problem, better get ur answers from the PROs 1st.
The pros here r not paid 4 their time and effort, and r under no obligation 2 relate 2 ur question UNLESS THEY CHOOSE 2.
Cons: (:-) )
-------------------------------
There's nothing wrong with being a Newbee - we were all there 1ce. Ppl will still treat U with respect.
Everything is wrong about being a loud, ignorant, pompous, saliva drooling MF newbee-on-the-loose.
Ask as a newbee-on-the-loose and U'll b getting half the answers, most of which regenrated from other answers by newbees-on-the-loose seeking their own kind.
This means the answers U'll b getting may b wrong, or throw U even more off course.
A real pro would know better then 2 get in2 a newbee-on-the-loose ritual @ their tribal bonfire.
Try this 4 size:
------------------------
1. Ask in the right forum - pushing a Q in2 the WRONG forum will indicate the initiator doesn't understand his/ her own question.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Ask clearly and 2 the point -: describe the SYMPTOMS, not the possible cure - make it possible 4 the replies 2 b short as well.
No pro wants 2 double time and typing on ruling out wrong assumptions or going back 2 basics.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. ALWAYS (!) include a short description of ur system/ gear/ instrument / location etc.
Pictures and sound files r the best as U may have already learned from this thread.
Assuming that every1 is working on the same system as ur own, or using ur own methods exclusively indicates a newbee in the BAD sense of the word - and responses will flow accordingly.
There's more than 1 version of Cubase, there's more than 1 version of SBlive, even if U're not aware of it - 4 each version the answer may b radically different.
No pro wants 2 waste his /her time on shooting in the dark guessing ur particular configuration.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. REALLY SEARCH. No pro will help newbees-on-the-loose that won't help themselves, knowing he/she has already posted the answer 2 the same question twice during the past month.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Pay attention 2 the forum moderators - those r the small names @ the top of the page marked "ACHRA'IM".
These r pros in the forum's field, so their feedback is valuable. Furthermore - they MODERATE.
This means they can AND WILL send ur thread 2 oblivion in case things get counter-productive.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. In these forums U may find the ppl with the best answers 2 ur problem-
***When in Rome - act like a ROMANI***.
