This speaker's extended low end response will emphasize the problems of a less-then adequate room rather than solve them.
The room-speaker combo is like 1 giant instrument. Changing speakers is like changing the strings on an acoustic gtr, or the p/u on an electric - it takes 2 2 tango.
I've been wandering 4 years between rooms with my personal monitors, active and passive- they all sounded good in good rooms, worse in bad rooms.
The 1st step is always 2 realize what type of room U r in. In bad rooms I work @ very low volume, I mono a lot and check the low end in the car, not in the room.
I guess that working in a single room all the time (as most project studio owners do) may lead 2 the wrong conclusions in this matter.
