we have here the original SVT that the rolling stones took on there tour when it came out its so heavy and its hot-- so reamping is an option.

but i will give you a nice trick-- you know how everybody want a big ampeg sound right- well to make it sound like an ampeg its not so hard (to make it real is heard and if you have one its easy to get it but if not then you need to imitate it)

one way to make it sound like that is to combine two amps one with a 4*10 cabnet -
this will give you the bass sound (its a kind of mid range bass- what is known as high bass)

and the second cabnet will be a 2 * 8 this will give you the grityness that that amp is known for -- now this is very important-- feed it with a good pre amp-- bass signalls are hard to manipulate so they tend to saturate very fast and you loose the dynamics and tone- so connect it to a good preamp that handle bass tons good and then put it out very loud from the pre amp to the input of the AMP and set the volume high untill it distorts abit (not to much)

this trick -when done right - will make great bass tone-
you"ll be suprised how well it works-

i played on alot of ampeg amps- in israel and here in the usa- i also own one and here and i tell you this -- the signature sound of ampeg is dirty power-- thats why its so good for rock music and metal

its considerd a standart in all studios and stage rigs- so you"ll see it everywhere
